Read the front page of The Kelsey Gazette and choose one of the headline stories.
Write a 350- to 700-word paper in which you discuss potential bias in the story you selected and ways you can avoid bias as you conduct your own research. Address the following:
• Identify the bias and unethical use of information.,
• What criteria could you use to improve the credibility of this story?,
• How could you rewrite the story to eliminate the bias? Consider that your audience is a general audience consisting of men and women of varying education levels.
• How would you adapt your message to an audience made up exclusively of college professors?
• Discuss potential areas of bias associated with your own research topic.

Local Teens Save Man’s Life, Paramedics Say- Angelina Cortez
At approximately 2:30 this morning a group of local teens witnessed a man being beaten by another man inside of the Kilgore Pharmaceutical Distribution Center Warehouse locate don Mid Oaks Lane. The brave young teens came to the man’s aid despite the assailant’s use of an arsenal of weapons to include a crowbar, which the attacker used to subdue his victim. The man has been identified as the Kilgore Pharmaceutical security guard, Tom Witherton. According to the police report, the teens, whose names are being withheld to protect their identity at this time, were in the warehouse when they heard the cries for help. The group of youngsters rushed to the man’s aid, not taking into account their own safety. Two of the young men in the group helped to ward off the attacker while the third teen call………………
