Research Pre-Proposal Sexual abuse to a child is something that often not researched very good. The main issues is how traumatizing it is to the child and doing a study even cause more problems long-term. As a researcher there are certain questions would like answers to but have to askit in an sensitive way that will not cause more harm to the child. Some questions that need to be asked by the researchers is “Will the victims of childhood sexual abuse engage in sexual activities at an earlier age verses a child that has not been abused? This type of research is lacking on child sexuality and psychologist have not been able to adequately study this area and the type of negative effects it will have on a child. In this paper the researcher will conduct a study using sequential design to answer the following the questions. “Will the victims of childhood sexual abuse engage in sexual activities at an earlier age verses a child that has not been abused? The research will conduct this study to gain a better understanding of how children who have been sexual abused may cause them to engage in sexual activity soon than children who have not been abused and the trust and violations they feel. There is plenty of information on childhood sexual abuse and there is often a lack of information from treating or study on victims and the abuse.
