What I would consider my most “valuable” experience interviewing people to gather information is working as a Medical Scribe in an Emergency Room. My job was to work alongside the provider to create and maintain the patient’s medical chart for their visit to the emergency room. In order to do this I needed to gather specific information from nurses, the physician and the provider so that I could record the patients HPI, physical examination and other necessary information. I currently work at Bellin Mental Health on the adolescent unit. Most of the adolescents that come to us are the farthest from forthcoming when it comes to giving us the information we need.
