Term/Research Paper (200 points):  You have been asked to write a 11-page
analysis of a national or global issue brought to light through our text
book and produce a research paper that is due on Monday of Week #7.  Your
paper can have as much as 25% of the material as cited material without
consequence.  Anything between 25% and 50% will be downgraded in points up
to 50% of the available grade.  Papers with 50% or more material shown as
copied, or cited material will receive a 0 grade for the paper. Prior
approval of your topic should take place no later than the end of week 2.
PAPER GUIDELINES § Pay close attention to technical details described in
the section below. Failure to observe them will seriously lower your score.
The paper should represent your best professional writing and work and
should be at least 7-11 FULL pages.  Keep in mind that the cover page,
abstract, and reference page does not count towards the 7-11 pages.
Assignments must be typed using a computer word processor.  Thus,
typographical errors or hand-edited corrections are not permissible.  You
are to post your paper in the Assignment/Turnitin feature in our Blackboard
course. Wikipedia is not a legitimate academic source.  It is not
reviewed or edited by recognized academic experts, and therefore should not
be used as a reference in any academic research.  However, it is a good
place to begin searching for legitimate academic sources. You must have
a minimum of five (5) scholarly resources § Use the APA (American
Psychological Association 6th Ed.) Style Manual for text (manuscript) and
