Write My Essay For Me

Continued: As an evaluation. Essentially, you will be doing a review of the film and making a judgment on its worth or value. Your purpose will be to come to a judgment after analyzing the film based on specific criteria. To do that, consider the following: Use specific criteria. A criterion is a standard for judgment that your readers will agree is important. These will function as your main points to support your overall judgment. A criterion is a sort of yardstick against which you can measure the film. You will decide what criteria to use; make sure your readers know what criteria you are using. You will need at least three. Examples might include “effective storytelling” (plot), “acting” (characterization), “cinematography” (imagery, setting, tone), and so on. Provide evidence from the film to discuss how it measures up to each criterion. For example, if one of your criteria were effective storytelling, you could look at techniques the filmmakers use in telling the story, such as: Soundtrack: Does the music create emotion? Does it help build suspense? Does it elicit viewer sympathy and emotional involvement? List specific examples Shots and cuts: How are the shots put together? Does this move the story forward in an effective manner? Again, be specific Setting: Remember, setting can also be time, and in a film it can be time sequence. Does the filmmaker do things to alter time – to compress or elongate it? Does this affect the telling of the story? Once again, list specific examples. 3. Be sure to state a judgment for each criterion. Your evidence will support each of these smaller judgments. Use each of the smaller judgments to arrive at an overall judgment of the film you choose. This overall claim will serve as your thesis and should appear near the beginning of the essay. Structure. For either option, be sure you pay close attention to how you structure your paper. Consider the following: Your opening should be engaging and let the reader know what you are arguing. The middle should include the main points of that argument/evaluation, presented in a logical order, with transitions from one paragraph to another so that your essay flows well. Be sure that you link the claims that you make to the evidence you pull from the film with good reasoning. This will help make your argument logical and understandable. The ending should tie it all together, give a sense of closure and hopefully leave the reader with an additional parting insight.
