When conducting a Google search, the search results appear based on a process called Google Search Algorithm, which prioritizes the positioning of search results. Google Search Algorithm utilizes a complex set of algorithms and ranking factors to determine which web pages should be ranked higher than others. Google primarily uses two algorithms to rank web pages, namely, Panda and Penguin. Panda evaluates the quality of a web page’s content and checks for duplicate, thin, or low-quality content. Penguin evaluates the links pointing to a web page and checks for spammy or manipulative links.
Apart from these algorithms, Google also considers various ranking factors like the relevance and quality of content, the age and authority of the web page, user experience, and mobile-friendliness of the website.
