Write My Essay For MeOne of the major strengths of the group is willingness to listen to others as this increases group cohesiveness. Though, while working alone one has to make the major decisions, there is a need to consult with other people to get ideas. Thus, working effectively with members allows one to accomplish the tasks faster than simply relying on own effort with minimal input of members.
In the simulation process, the biggest chunk of the work done was done solely, but it was necessary to talk to other people, as this creates a healthy climate ripe for discussion. Willingness to listen to others is dependent on active listening skills and good communication skills. In essence, this allows one to replicate a work related scenario where effective communication is critical to getting things done.
Willingness to learn focused on communication skill as this eases interaction both at the workplace and includes social interactions. Through regular feedback members understand and apply communication skills as demonstrated by willingness t listen.
Communication at both the emotional and intellectual level shows, that interaction in a team allows members to listen if communication skills are utilized. The simulation provides opportunities for learners to hone communication skills, and incorporating feed back and reflection helps team members to understand each other better. In other words expressing opinions and views in a non threatening manner facilitates interactions in open communication where non feels left out.
Willingness to listen to others is best suited when there is openness, trust, respect and support. In any case, cohesion occurs when there is openness and trust as people respect each other and collaborate without seeking to dominate. Though, the simulation is akin to competition, collaboration was necessary to build relations and cohesion, as this facilitates active listening.
Weakness
Failure to come prepared for the project’s requirements is a weakness that has the potential to hinder the simulation process. Teamwork is collaborative and the members achieve better results than if they worked alone, but when members are not prepared the likely benefits are fewer (Avery et al., 2001). It is through teamwork where members seek to achieve a common goal, through sharing information and collaborating on skills. To overcome this weakness all the members are required to have documentary evidence, and assigned to roles which they are supposed to undertake. Other than this recognizing the individual efforts of each member will show that their …
