The authors conducted this research through the use of telephone surveys, they were able to gauge how often drivers talk and text, the extent to which they use hands-free devices, and their knowledge of and reaction to state cell phone laws. The study also concluded that many drivers report talking on cell phones when driving. Many of those young drivers report everyday textingdistracted driving. Laws banning the use of hand-held phones and seemed to reduce the frequency of phone use while driving and increase the use of hands-free devices among drivers who talk. REFLECTIVE ANNOTATED BIBLIOGRAPHY3The opinion of this study and the article is the truthfulness of the drivers giving factual information and how it provides limitations on the accuracy of the survey. This tactic has proved unreliable, due to the drivers who may underreport their use and the negative perceptions that exist about using cell phones.Other limitations were judged by the lack of presence and the lack of hands-free laws. My opinion is that the differences in reported patterns of use between state laws could be attributable to the factors of that the presence of different state laws.
